Anakena Sauvignon Blanc Eco Bottle
This is an unoaked, dry and crisp wine, with typical grassy and herbal notes which continue on the palate. Hint of gooseberry on the long finish. This isn’t ‘citrussy’ at all but fresh, herbal and moreish. I advise this wine is chilled and opened too, put back in the fridge to breathe and keep it cool, then enjoy the Sauvignon flavours far more prominently.
The grapes were harvested during the coolest hours of the day, at night. Half of the grapes were picked by hand and half were harvested by machine.
Valle Central stretches 20 miles south from Santiago. It consists of four sub-regions from north to south: Maipo, Rapel, Curico and Maule. The grapes for this wine come from the Fundo Santa Ines vineyard, located in the municipality of Romeral in Curico.
Served at 8-10°C with fish and seafood dishes, preferably salads.
