Dell Vinyards Yr Lleidr Rosé
Expect notes of freshly picked summer berries with this fresh and fruity Welsh Rosé.
Voted the best still rose in Wales 2023 in the Welsh Wine Awards, this beautiful blush pink Welsh wine is a blend of Pinot Noir and Seyval Blanc from the Dell vineyard’s 22 year old vineyard in Pen-y-Clawdd.
They also lease an established 20 year old vineyard nearby which is located close to the hamlet of Pen-Y-Clawdd. There are 1700 vines which cover an area just over an acre in size. There are several varieties planted including, Pinot Noir, Seyval Blanc and Phoenix.
The “Lleidr”, meaning the thief in Welsh, is a nod to the blackbirds and badgers that ate almost all of the first harvest, leaving Dan and Lucy with only 130
bottles!
