Domaine Michel Girard Sancerre Rosé
Fine rosé with elegance and structure.
Terroir plays an important role in this estate where three different soil structures of Sancerre exist: Terres Blanches (limestone), Caillottes (chalky limestone), Silex (flint). The result is several cuves vinified separately each reflecting the different styles. Grapes for this rosé are grown mainly on the Silex soils.
Delicate salmon pink colour and with a flinty nose, this is a savoury and expressive style of Sancerre rosé. The palate is restrained and beautifully balanced with fine acidity and ripe fruit.
Delicious on its own or with grilled fish, mixed pepper bruschetta, olives & antipasti.
