Monte Schiavo Verdicchio Classico Amphora
A fine example of the Verdicchio grape from one of the region’s pioneering producers. From estate-grown grapes, a fresh and juicy style with lovely concentration of flavour.
Fresh citrus and peachy aromas with hints of passion fruit. The palate has abundant pineapple and tropical fruit characters, balanced by zesty acidity and a ripe yet crisp finish.
The grapes are sourced from Monte Schiavo’s own vineyards in Maiolati Spontini, Montecarotto, Poggio S. Marcello and Rosora. The vineyards are between 180 and 360m altitude. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel.
Delicate apricot and orchard fruit aromas with a hint of white flower and citrus. The palate has minerality and texture with ripe stone fruit characters, refreshing lemon citrus acidity, a touch of salinity, and a crisp zesty finish.
Perfect with shellfish and fish dishes but can withstand a creamy sauce and even chicken.
