Nieto Patrimonial Bonarda, Luján de Cuyo
A lovely nose of blackberry leading to a well structured palate, with great concentration of blackberry fruit, hints of of sour cherry and plums, as well as notes of liquorice and tar.
Nieto Senetiner has grown to become one of the leading stars of Mendoza. The vineyards and winery were developed in 1969 and continue to be extended and updated. Nieto have vineyards in virtually all of the best sub districts of Mendoza from which they produce typical and classic wines, characterised by the uniquely appealing balance of power and finesse that defines the best wines of Mendoza. The top wines come from very old vineyards in the famed subdistrict of Agrelo and are fully deserving of their iconic status.
Sourced from Nieto’s 43 year old vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. Nieto were the first people in the area to use the bonarda grape variety in a table wine.
Aged in French oak barrels for 10 months.
Bonarda is a perfect match with rich, meaty, casseroles, tomato based pasta dishes and cheeses.
