Spy Valley Easy Tiger Sauvignon Blanc
By careful vineyard site selection and artful blending between sites, Spy Valley Winery achieves just 9.5% alcohol, whilst delivering classic Marlborough flavours.
The nose gives generously with aromas of capsicum, nettle and melon, whilst the palate is appealingly soft (a portion of the wine has undergone barrel fermentation) and bursts with tangy passion fruit and lime.
We believe this to be a standout New Zealand Sauvignon beyond simply being a lower alcohol option; it’s simply an added bonus!
Spy Valley takes its name from a US listening post just up the road from the winery. It is one of the few remaining family-owned wineries in Marlborough and was declared by Wine Spectator magazine as ‘one of the planet’s 20 most notable new producers’.
‘Grassy, pea pod, respectably dry and with a fair bit of body for such modest alcohol too. Clever winemaking, and delivers the right dose of Sauvignon Blanc flavour to satisfy fans of the style, while having low alcohol.’ – Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com
